Thievery Corporation will play two nights with the Colorado Symphony at Boettcher Concert Hall in Denver, on April 9 and 10, 2027. The Colorado Symphony announced the shows on August 31, 2026, and tickets have been on sale since September 4.

Thievery Corporation built its sound by running dub and reggae bass through downtempo, bossa nova, jazz, and global vocal styles, with singers in English, French, Persian, and Portuguese, instead of a soundsystem. A full orchestra is a different tool, but the same idea: take a bass-heavy, reggae-rooted sound and run it through something it was never built for.

The detail

Both shows start at 7:30 p.m. at Boettcher Concert Hall, the Colorado Symphony's home inside the Denver Performing Arts Complex. The Colorado Symphony's own announcement points to the band's catalog, including "The Mirror Conspiracy," "The Richest Man in Babylon," "Radio Retaliation," and "Treasures from the Temple," though neither the symphony nor the band has published a setlist or said which arranger is handling the orchestral parts. Tickets went on sale September 4 at 10 a.m. Mountain time through the Colorado Symphony's own box office at coloradosymphony.org, and by phone or in person at Boettcher.

The Denver dates sit in the middle of a busy stretch for the band. A nine-show December run goes through Bangalore, Nashville, Atlanta, two nights in Asheville, Charlottesville, and Richmond, before closing with three nights at 9:30 Club in Washington, DC, the finale of their 30th anniversary year that this site covered in September. New Year's Eve in San Francisco and a Vancouver date on January 1 follow. The Denver shows, four months after that, are the only dates announced so far with a full orchestra, and the first time Thievery Corporation has played Boettcher Concert Hall.

Where to go next

Tickets for both Denver nights go through the Colorado Symphony's box office. The dates are also listed on Thievery Corporation's own tour page, which links back to the same box office for tickets.
